Curtis has spent more than two decades helping individuals, families, business owners, and nonprofit organizations make informed financial decisions. His practice is centered on providing objective, fiduciary advice and developing thoughtful strategies that help clients preserve wealth, navigate complexity, and achieve their long-term goals.
Throughout his career, Curtis has built particular expertise in investment management, retirement planning, and philanthropic planning. He works closely with clients on strategies ranging from retirement income and portfolio management to donor-advised funds, family foundations, and other charitable giving vehicles that align wealth with personal values. He also advises business owners, medical professionals, and pilots, whose unique financial circumstances often require specialized planning.
Curtis has also advised 501(c)(3) organizations, helping churches, schools, libraries, fire departments, and other nonprofits strengthen their financial stewardship through investment policy development and endowment management.
During the 2008 financial crisis, Curtis transitioned his practice to a fee-based advisory model, adopting an institutional investment approach focused on disciplined portfolio management and long-term risk management. His investment expertise led other financial advisors to entrust him with managing assets on behalf of their clients. In 2016, he co-founded an independent advisory firm, where he served as a partner and investment specialist for more than seven years before joining Hudson Wealth Management in 2024.
Curtis is a Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®) and an Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®). He holds FINRA Series 6, 7, 63, and 65 securities registrations through Commonwealth Financial Network® and earned his bachelor's degree from Geneva College.
Beyond his professional work, Curtis is committed to serving his community. He lives in Hudson, Ohio, with his wife, Laurie, and their two children. He serves as a deacon at Christ Community Chapel and regularly provides pro bono guidance to aspiring entrepreneurs and small business owners. He also previously served as board secretary for Lan Vwa, Inc., an international nonprofit supporting students in Haiti and Guatemala. Outside the office, Curtis enjoys golf, fitness, traveling with his family, and cheering on Pittsburgh sports.
